After the misery caused by a painful divorce and unemployment, Selim, in his mid-30s, moves back in with his upper-middle-class family in İzmir. He is not pleased to reunite with either his family or his old friends. Although he can barely remember, he starts spending time with Cihan, a loafer who claims to be his military buddy. When a foul smell from the sea spreads throughout the city and their apartment buildings, Selim, Cihan, and their friends embark on a journey to explore the possibilities of a new world.
