In 1927 Paris, orphaned Paul is sent to the countryside to live with Célestine and Borel, a gamekeeper couple working for the reclusive Count de la Fresnaye. Initially resistant, Paul soon discovers the enchanting world of Sologne’s forests, befriending Totoche, a local poacher who becomes his mentor in woodcraft and survival. As Paul uncovers secrets about his own past and navigates the complex relationships between his guardians and the Count, he learns that true education lies beyond the classroom, in the heart of nature.
