About The Butterfly’s Dream
During World War II, in the modernizing mining town of Zonguldak, two young poets, Rüştü Onur and Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu, balance their bureaucratic jobs with their passion for art, literature, and, above all, poetry. Suzan, the high school-aged daughter of the Mayor, returns to Zonguldak and forms a close bond with the two despite societal pressures. However, tuberculosis -the scourge of the 1940s- poses an increasing threat to the health of these young poets.
